Guess which house in our neighborhood hands out full-size candy bars?!

That's right! OURS!!

Because this wonderful time of year is all about the  treats!

One of the best treats of fall is pumpkin cake! um, um, good!

To create your own, you'll need:

  • 1 Yellow cake mix (reserving 1 cup mix)
  • 1/2 cup butter- melted
  • 1 egg
Mix these together and pour/press into bottom of 9x13 inch pan.

Now, in mixer bowl, mix these together well:
  • 1 32oz can Pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 12oz can evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
Pour over cake in pan.

Mix til crumbly:
  • remaining 1 cup cake mix
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
(I use my handy dandy pampered chef counter top food processor.  Seriously THE BEST invention for mixing and chopping... You can use a pastry cutter or a couple of knives.)

Sprinkle that over the top of the cake filling. Bake for 1 hour in a 350o oven.

Serve while still hot with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Scrumptious!

You'll feel like having a party, too!

Happy Halloween, y'all!
